Hi Neil
I stumbled across your website recently, some really
interesting stuff on there! We are still heavily involved supplying industrial
coal in the UK. Thought you might be interested in the pics from Eckington
Colliery (New). I took these on what I believe was the last time the mine was
entered prior to being sealed up. Prior to this we took most of the coal there
in the previous years.
Sadly all the kit is still down there, though we have the
remains of the bobcat loader and dreadnaught cutter in our yard.
